Rest In Paradise

To make a plague pit burial memorial in Christchurch Gardens, I’ve designed a landscape to subtly invite visitors to reflect and respect the area for its heritage. This proposal breaks the negative stigma surrounding burial grounds, showing visitors that the spaces are not as unsettling as they may perceive them to be. REST IN PARADISE discovers reasons why society disregards cemeteries as communal grounds and finds ways we can change this stereotypical perception through landscape design.
