Myth in Identity
Querubina Gouldby Lopez de San Roman
Inspired by the sexualisation of dryads in Greek mythology, I explored how women often live with the consequences of others’ actions. Using Ovid’s *Metamorphoses: Daphne and Apollo*, I examined women’s connection to nature and feeling most authentic away from external expectations. I contemporised this through film and garment design: structured tailoring transforms into freer draped organza, while the skirt captures “motion paused” through shapes derived from movement photography.
