WHAT WE INHERIT

I wanted to explore the idea of heirloom and what boundaries an heirloom has, I have been working with the definition 'heirlooms are are stories made tangible' this lead me to explore object, physical/ behavioural characteristics and memories as heirlooms. For my final outcome I have made a hooded towel inspired by childhood memories of going to the beach. I have done this using texture and textiles to transport a person back to their own memories of beach days as a child.
