Nine Tenths of the Law
Lois Johnston
Possession is nine tenths of the law. To have it is to keep it. This has been the case for centuries, with aristocratic land-owning families clutching onto and enclosing their patches of England's green and pleasant land. This project questions ownership and its impact on access to nature. Scaling type to the size of my garden, then carrying it to the estate of England’s largest landowner to pose the question 'how big is your garden?'
...before we were asked to leave.
