Pedigree Perfection
Harper Bone
My work explores the intersection of art and politics. I focus on the the female experience and the fear carried within it, and its effects on the body; specifically the societal grooming seen through the paper doll, and the expected perfection forced upon us, shown through the idea of pedigree perfection on a dog-print fabric. I utilise the distortion of form as a political tool to critique these rigid societal expectations.
