The Matilda Museum

'The Matilda Museum' is an interactive work which allows the audience to explore three female scientists' research within its drawers. 'Matilda' comes from the term 'The Matilda Effect' - the systematic bias where women's work has been undervalued by men. The museum is a celebration of successful female scientists despite 'The Matilda Effect', hence The Matilda Award trophies displayed in the cabinet dedicated to these women.
